Updated: May 13, 2023

2023

Instagram is no tool for measuring an artist's capabilities or talent. But it does show their ability to entertain and capture a crowd. Here's a list of 10 rappers who have amassed a great following on their Instagram pages.

KR$NA (@realkrsna) - 730k

(Up from 594k in September)

With his head in the diss battles, KR$NA had everyone locked in waiting for his responses in early 2022. With a horde of followers entering his page tryna catch up with the disses, KR$NA crossed the half-a-million milestone on his Instagram.

IKKA (@ikkamusic) - 860k

(Up from 699k from September)

IKKA has been around for a while and has really engraved a spot in my playlist with his track Trap Munde. As of writing this article, he's just 40k shy from hitting the 900k mark. Keeping him just 100k away from the first mil.

Raja Kumari (@therajakumari) - 872k

(Up from 835k from September)

Raja Kumari started out as a dancer at the age of 7 and got into hip-hop when she was 16. She has collaborated with artists like Fifth Harmony, Iggy Azalea and a few more notable names in her career. Her diverse career as an artist and a songwriter along with her television appearances as a judge led to her reaching an incredible 872k followers on Instagram.

Divine (@vivianakadivine) - 2.3M

(Up from 1.9M from September)

Let's be real, it's no shocker that he's on this list. DIVINE has built a name that can't be erased off the charts. What truly stands as a shocker is the fact that he isn't higher up on this chart. Nonetheless, as mentioned earlier. It's the bars that count and he's got bars for days.

Raftaar (@raftaarmusic) - 3.7M

(Up from 3.6M from September)

What can I possibly add, the guy's gone clear. Raftaar really stuck to building what he has to offer and really built an online presence as an artist and as a celebrity figure.

Emiway Bantai (@emiwaybantai) - 5.4M

(Up from 4.2M from September)

Like him or hate him, he's built his audience fair and square. To some extent, he's built his own cult. The beef with KR$NA brought him quite a lot of attention and definitely did him more good than harm. Of course, some of the heat took more than ice to heal, he's still way up there when it comes to the IG game. Sitting at 5.4 Mil he's gone clear from most of the pack.

Yo Yo Honey Singh (@yoyohoneysingh) - 9.9M

(Up from 9.2M from September)

Some wouldn't agree with him being on this list as a rapper, but he's definitely one of those artists who really played a role in bringing rap into the mainstream. Early bird who had a flying past, 9.9 Million followers show what he's accomplished as an artist.

MC Stan (@m___c___stan) - 10.7M

(Up from 1.7M from September)

Hear me out. MC Stan has definitely built a cult of his own. You either hate him or you follow him with all your soul. There's no in-between when it comes to his fanbase. And that same cult-like fanbase has pushed him clear from the 1 million club when he was at 1.7 Million followers at the time I wrote this article to now sitting on 10.7 Million followers after his recent Bigg Boss win.

Badshah (@badboyshah) - 12.2M

(Up from 11.9M from September)

Badshah has grown to fame in the past few years to heights that have no boundaries. Although he may come across as "commercial", we still have to appreciate how much he has carried himself as an icon and as a public figure. He's stayed as a rapper and a relevant celebrity for quite some time.

Sidhu Moosewala (@sidhu_moosewala) - 12.3M

(Up from 11.2M from September)

One of the biggest shocks in global HipHop this year was the murder of Sidhu Moosewala. At the time of his death, he was sitting at 8 Million followers which grew to a staggering 12.3 Million at the time of writing this article. I truly imagine where he'd be as an artist if he was among us today.
